Cristian Irimia has signed today a contract for five seasons, starting with January 2005, with Dinamo Kyiv. Saturday and Sunday, Irimia made medical tests at Ukrainean team, being accompanied by FIFA impresario Daniel Stanciu, and today he signed in the presence of Ioan Becali.

Irimia will be paid with 200.000 Euro in first season, and the salary will grow up in the next four years.

At the club from Ukraine he will have the shirt with number 2.

Cristian Irimia, who wasn't used too much in intern championship by Dinamo and Rapid, is appreciated abroad and became the third Romanian player of Dinamo Kyiv, after Tiberiu Ghioane and Florin Cernat.

Ukrainean team has played in Champions League groups in season 2004-2005, ranking on third place in group B. Dinamo Kyiv will play in sixteen finals of UEFA Cup with Villarreal, the winner following to play then with the winner between Steaua Bucharest and Valencia.

The midfielder formed at Sportul Studenţesc Bucharest, has played 4 seasons in "Regie", being transferred at Rapid in January 2004. For Rapid, Irimia played 10 matches. In the summer of this year, he was transferred at Dinamo Bucharest, playing here 11 matches. He debuted with Dinamo in European cups (28 July 2004, MSK Zilina - Dinamo, score 0-1), playing in three matches of preliminaries of Champions League. Because of that, Irimia can't play for Dinamo Kyiv in UEFA Cup, season 2004-2005.

Born on 7 July 1981, Cristian Irimia started his career at Sportul Studenţesc in season 1999-2000, playing 65 matches and scoring 5 goals in Divizia B. He debuted in Divizia A on 3 August 2001, in the match Sportul Studenţesc - Petrolul Ploieşti, 3-0, having till now 72 matches and 8 goals in first division, all goals being scored for Sportul Studentesc.

At Dinamo Kyiv also play two Romanian players, Tiberiu Ghioane and Florin Cernat.
