Preview Poland vs. Northern Ireland

Poland – news (preview of POL vs. NIR)

The coach of national team of Poland, Paweł Janas, had today a press conference about the match from World Cup qualifying with Northern Ireland.

"We all were happy after the victory with Azerbaijan but now we don’t have to be enthused. We have focused since Sunday at the match with Northern Ireland. The most important thing is to have all our players healthy and we are counting for this match on
Radek Kałużny and Arek Głowacki. Probably I will make some changes at the team, but not major changes” – said Janas.

This was the last meeting with journalists before the match with Northern Ireland (kick-off: 20:00, Stadium: "Wojska Polskiego", Warsaw) and it took place at "Sheraton Hotel", where also participated players Jerzy Dudek, Jacek Krzynówek and Maciej Żurawski.

"For this match just victory is counting for us. Austria will try to win points too, and they are our principal opponents for the second place in the group. A prognostic for tomorrow? For the scoring of first goal I will not set up the players for a frontal attack. We will be witnesses of positional games rather. We must play consequently, but surely we will have situations for scoring. Irishmen lost with 0-4 in England, but the goals were scored after the break. We’ll play tomorrow with prudence." – added Janas.

On September, in first match, „white-reds” have won with 3-0, Maciej Żurawski being first scorer on "Windsor Park" from Belfast. "The match with Northern Ireland is much harder then the match with Azerbaijan” – said the striker of Wisla Krakow.

"It will be a difficult match for us, but we have the suporters on our side” – said Jacek Krzynówek.

If he will play in the match with Northern Ireland, goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek would have a personal satisfaction, following to be his 50th match for national team.

"We were very glad after the victory with Azerbaijan, but now we’ll have a real battle with Irishmen. We have to play very prudently, to be sure of second place in the group” – said goalkeeper of Liverpool, Dudek.
